The company is a big one with 1000+ employees. My department is is in Atlanta. It is a company-wide layoff due to business decline, but I was the only one to be laid off in my group(9 employees + 1 manager). If based on my performance, I should belong to the top range. And I was the second senior in the group with relatively low salary. So the only reason is the fact that I am pregnant and they knew I was going to take maternity leave.
I just wonder any smart legal action I could take. I have filed a EEOC claim. Also I appreciated any information how to find a good employment lawyer in Atlanta area. Your help is highly appreciated.
