Many thanks for your help. the first choice doesn't need to plead guilty and only need a probation period about 6 months to 2 years. Normally this 6 degree of larceny will get a probation up to one year, then the court record will be erased. However, in the 2nd choise, the guilty record will be eliminated after 5 years in Some States, may be 7 years or 10 years in other states. Therefore, I think the first choice may be better, right??
Is the "probation" same as "sentence"? as you said "Because immigration law says one year sentence will be not allowed to be America citizen". How about only Green card application instead of citizen?
