Don't listen to him. It's not a good idea to get divorce in the middle of GC processing. You will have difficulty to pursue your permanent GC down the road if you get divorce now. Should talk to him to see at least whether you can maintain current marriage status until getting your permanent GC. Otherwise you have to prove to INS that you got abuse from him and can't take anymore. Meanwhile you have to have police report to show there were domestic violence going on. Too much headache to go through this path. Just hold on your marriage if you can. Otherwise, it doesn't look good for you. take care.
