另外，如果她真的欠你的錢，你寫gift是為了幫她偷稅，那可是federal crime and a felony. You had the intention to commit a tax fraud (for her) and you actually did it.

Ｉsuggest you figure out yourself whether (1) it was a gift or (2) it was not a gift and you committed a crime or (3) you want to prove yourself that you actually committed a crime.

I think you should treat it as a gift. If it over 10,000, don't forget to pay gift tax. Otherwise, it is tax evasion.
