tax return

Hi friends,
I was a student(F-1) from 01/01/2003 ~ 08/01/2003. Thus, I filed tax exemption for $5000 at the begining of 2003. However, my green card application was approved on 08/02/2003. Now, the question is whether I can still claim the tax treaty for 2003. Since the first $5000 of my income was earned when my status was still on F-1, I think I might be able to do so.
