I think you are a little confused about “dependent” on your tax return form with minor children (under 18) on your insurance policy. When you file tax return, you can claim many people such as your niece, nephews, your parents, and etc. as your dependents. Are you responsible for them or their accidents if they have their own automobiles and policies?
