Thank you for your advice. I had expected different reactions, although I prefer the constructive suggestions.

Most people love their kids and will not abuse them. The police already did a background check and I have a clean record. As I said, it was a stupid accident and will never happen again.

Any insights in the legal procedure are greatly appreciated.
