Please help!

Every friend:
I have a problem about my wife's status. She now has holds F1 which will expire in this May because she has used her OPT and her OPT expired on this May. Now her boss agrees to sponsor her H1b and will start this process in this April. So when she applies H1b, her visa is F1. Because her F1 will expire in this May and after then her status is illegal although her H1b pending. So she would like to apply for F2 in this month (March, I am F1 holder). At leastm her status is legal during F2 pending. The problem is when she submits her application for H1b, her status is F1 (in this April). When INS officer checks her H1b application, her F2 visa maybe has gotten approved. Will this cause her H1b to be rejected or reapply? Is there any good idea?
