請教各位，在NJ，Lease沒到期，要搬家，房租一直得繼續繳

最近買了Apartment附近的房子，下個月搬家。
本來是去年簽的lease，到今年9月1號到期，三個月前來通知說必須決定是續lease（6個月或一年）還是到期退房，當時還沒有找到合適的房子，就決定續6個月，到明年3月。但這個月初看中了一個房，房主要盡早closing，而我十月中旬就要生小寶寶了。所以定在9月底搬家。結果現在的apt manager說不能更改lease隻延期一個月，我們的房租必須一直繳下去到明年3月lease結束，算了算大概要1萬多美元。我們實在是無法同時支付新房的mortgage，生孩子花的錢還外加這一萬塊錢。
翻了翻老貼發現有位大俠post過“According to NJ law, there are several exceptions when it comes to breaking the lease, buying your own residential property is one of them. Give your landlord 2 months notice and move out on that day, your landlord has to return your deposit as well.” 但打電話給apt manager 人家說不知道有這麽個law。
想問問諸位在那裏能找到類似的法律條文呢？
如果找不到這個law的話，請問我們還有什麽其他的辦法嗎？找個中意的房子實在不容易，請大家幫幫忙。
