Got a notice from the landlord for moving out. Need Advice!!!

I have just got a notice from the landlord that I should move within 15 days on August 7, 2006. I am in PA. I have some problem with the landlord last weekend about the mold on my bath tub and somewhere else. I have let the Townhall to see the mold. The staff said the landlord should clean it before I move out. I decided to move out on Sep. 1st. In such case, do I need to respond him in writing or just keep in silence? If I keep silence when I move out, can the landlord find some excuse to hold my deposit or get some extra money from me via the lawsuit?

In the following, I list the problems the landlord concerns:

I have a lease between 9/2004 and 9/2005. After that, we didn't extend the lease.

In his notice, he said the following reasons:

1. Didn't pay rent in time

my answer: invalid.

2. Use the water too much.

my answer: this is due to the mold in my bath tub. He has come to clean it one time, and told me he would reseal it. But never happen.

3. In the winter, I use the portal heater.

my answer: I didn't dare to use his heat because each time I opened it, the smoke alert will make a noise.

My answer: what is normal procedure for eviction?

What should I do now?
