Did you read the fine print of membership? There must be some strings attached. Otherwise, why did they require you to attend membership? These kind of membership (like video/audio membership www.columbiahouse.com) works like this: 1) after you sign on the membership, you are entitled to buy something really cheap initially; 2) you are required to buy some more stuff from them with a fixed time period (they will keeping sending you stuff, but you can simply return them). But keep in mind that you are obligated to buy something from them.......
It is your problem (not their problem) because you did not read agreement carefully. You only want to buy cheap books at the beginning. Then just think again, why there is a membership.
