Question about going to civil court.

I bought brand new van in March 2004. The both sliding doors started to rattle after 3 month’s driving. Since then, the dealership has repaired them 9 times, but couldn’t fix them. After several times’ talking with the manufacturer, I decided to go to civil court.

Yesterday I received the notice with the defendant’s despute notes from the court. The court will open the trial in September.

In the defendant’s despute notes, the lawyer argued this is minor problem and denied any claims. But in the last paragraph he wrote:

The defendants seek the following relief:
1. That the plaintiff’s claim be dismissed with costs.

Can somebody tell me what this means?

Thanks a lot for your help.
