This money order was for a ebay trade. The payment to this money order had been stopped because the seller was suspected fraud. I have a email from Ebay customer to prove it(see attachment) and as you can see Ebay
suggested me to stop the payment if I could. And I had noticed the seller when I stopped the payment. It is check cashier agency’s duty to check the authenticity of the money order from someone that is not a regular
customer, an Ebay seller. Even if this Ebay seller is your regular customer, you still have a duty to check the authenticity of the money order, since it’s not an insubstantial amount. Obivously, the cashier did not meet his/her duty and was negligent in paying the money order.
You will not qualified as holder in due course, if you fail to provide any of the following:
1. you are in physical possession of the money order,
2. you paid anything in value for the money order,
3. you act in good faith in paying it,
4. you did not have notice of the cancelation
Please provide above information to prove you are qualified as a holder in due course. Then I will send you the check.
