In the US, legally speaking,parents are not relatives after you turned 18. You have no legal obligation for their medical expense. However, they come as tourists, and you are probably the sponsor of their tour. In that case you might be responsible. If not, that is perfect because in the US, emergency room are obligated to treat anyone who goes through the door and they don't have the guts to let people die when they can't afford to pay like what happens in China. So if you are not responsible for their medical expense, and they have tourist insurance, then they are all covered, because the hospital will have to swallow the rest of the bill.
