It is very unfortunate – company re-organization – which happening in NY everyday.

Try not to involve the politics in the company.

Currently you are in the situation: maybe terminated with the 8 people group or maybe not. Pregnancy may help you to stay a little bit longer than others, not because of your pregnant or they had human feeling, but most company would consider the possible law suit especial involve with civil rights issue. (By the way civil law suit takes years and Fed Government will involve.They have lots of lawyers. So before they terminate you they will consult with their lawyer first.)

What you should do, try to get as much benefit as possible.

Unless you have evidences, otherwise, try not to involve with the politics in the company. The parent company will not even consider to interface with what the CIO(CEO?) is doing. The CIO(CEO?) has rights to do anything in order to make money for the company which including cutting labor cost.

To work it out with your new boss – you have to. At the same time keep good relationship with you former manager. You need to keep you current job, and you also need reference in the future.
