Does anyone what to do if personal info is mistakenly released?

I received a email to confirm my personal information. After I released it, I feel it looks like those kind of email try to get your infomation to do "bad" thing.
Does anyone know what should I do since all my info is released?
Or, does anyone know what may be impact on me?
