應該找律師，這種情況應該很容易將案件dismiss掉
Question: If the case is dismissed, all the record will be cleared? Will that affect Green Card application? Does she need to mention this incident in the future?

As a reminder in case you forgot this is in regarding to the following issue:
一個朋友今天去商店購物交錢後推車出來， 報警器響了。後來才知道是有一張DVD落在shopping cart 的角落裏忘了checkout.
當時沒意識到她自己有問題還繼續往前走，然後被security攔住。發現有DVD未交錢。
要交罰款並簽一個商店保留起訴權的什麽文件。她認為自己無罪，拒絕了。於是他們叫來了警察，把她帶到警察局拍照並留指紋。還給了一張ticket.需要出庭。
我不認為她有罪，頂多是疏忽。
我想請問如果不清律師，她自己出庭是否有把握勝訴。她的英語一般。但是如果請律師 確實太貴了。
如果勝訴，會留任何記錄嗎？
