My suggestion is that: find a criminal lawyer (and if he
knows the immigration laws then it is super, otherwise
you need to consult the criminal lawyer about the
possible conviction/consequences), and then also consult
an immigration lawyer. It is possible that you may get
dismissed if your lawyer can make a deal with the
prosecutor and the prosecutor may drop the charge which
means you will be completely trouble free. Spend money
to get rid of trouble. I don't think you will be put
in jail necessary. If convicted then you might have trouble once
you leave US and try to enter US again (you still need
to consult an immigration lawyer and google online, there are a lot of Chinese/English documents). So you'd better
try to get a result of not guilty.
Good luck.
