Since you are not an American citizen, you will be deported if you are convicted domestic violence. Domestic violence is treated extremely serious by INS.

The only way to save your immigration status is get a dismissal or get a not-guilty verdict in trial.

Because you were NOT arrested on the scene, the police did not see you and could not identify you. If your hu*****and does not appear on trial, nobody can identify you. The prosecutor will have an identification problem. Your lawyer can force the prosecution to dismiss the case.

Your hu*****and must cooperate with you and not appear on court
