What status are you in the US. Green card or citizen.

If you are Green Card holder , file 1040 NR - just the income in the US. The file the Canadian Tax - the US income will be Foreign income .

If you are citizen ˉ then you have to file your Canadian tax then file the US income tax.

US Citizen have to report global income.

You probably don’t paid any tax, but it need the paper work.
