Arraignement does not concern the cop. In arraignment date the magistrate judge will read you the misdemeanor you are charged and ask you how to plead. If you plead guilty then the case ends there. If you plead not guilty then your case goes to trial. You have the right for a jury trial and legal help from a lawyer.
