I got this pingpong ball & swimming pool question 2 weeks ago during an interview. The point of this question is to see how you think when faced with a new situation and limited information. There is no right answer. They just want to see your thinking process.

Another question I got 10 years ago was "estimate the weight of a boeing 747". Same idea, they don't care about the right answer, just how you think.

Sorry, cl500, if all of your interviews have been lame. Then again, you are not going after jobs of $150,000 or more per year before bonus I guess....
