some thoughts

I worked for a credit card cmpany. As far as I know, they don't really go after customer with small balance. If the account went 180 days or more delinquent they consided it as 'charge off'. In general they will have their collection unit call you again and again and try to get partial payment. If they think it really doesn't worth it, they will sell the account to a outside collector. They outside collector will then call you. But that's all they do if the balance is small. I don't think they will sue your or anything like that because it doesn't worth it. When the card company issue a card to you, they already take into account the possibility of 'default' and they don't expect to get every cents back. Good luck!
