PIP = Performance Improvement Plan

PIP is followed by termination for poor performance.  That is not a RIF (Reduction in Force).  You won't get any package if terminated for poor performance.  

Being put on PIP just means they give you three months to find another job. The best you can do is to find another job and quit before being fired. 

You have no time to play around.
