我能把木窗換成PVC的嗎?

一個出租的公寓換窗，title deeds 上說，in the evant of  the buildings erected  or  any of them being wholly  or partially destroyed by fire or other accident the respective feuars shall be bound to restore within two years  thereafter  or to repair or rebuild the same in accordance with buildings previously existing  on the said area of  ground.........

上麵說的是，如果火災或事故，保險公司必須按原樣修複。我要換窗，是個人維修，也必須是木窗換木窗嗎? 鄰居就換了PVC的，顏色和整棟大樓的其它窗戶顏色尺寸一樣，看不出來是換過的，我膽小，還是想弄清楚。
