My friend and his girl-friend has been living together for about six years in CA. They are not married. My friend heard that in CA, he and his girl-friend will be treated as de-facto marriage (事實婚姻) once they live together for seven years even if they are not officially married. Consequently, the assets of de-facto marriage is subject to division if the de-facto marriage is dissovled. Is it true,big-belly and other experts? Thank you very much.
