owner, then he has no liability at all as soon as the trade is done. It's buy's own responsibility to identify the problem, seller doesn't have to tell anything at all! Car is small compared with house. Even for a house, seller doesn't have to say anything, that's why buyer will usually get a inspection before signing the contract!
