As far as I know, the policy has changed. you can't take the maternity leave for the whole semester any more. Otherwise, you lose your F1 status. You have 3 options:
1. change to F2 or H4 status. After labor, try to reinstate your F1 status.
2. Take less credits as a part-time student. You have to get permission from ISO and can keep your F1 status during the time.
3. Go back to China to give birth and later come back to US.
