When you appeal, you need to pay for the transcripts of lower court.
In Appellate court, Judge may tell you he read all the transcripts and know all the evidence and judgement in previous trial. You do not need to repeat anything already in the transcript. You need to figure out a way to convince judge to reconsider the case.
My understanding, even you win, it just sends the case back to lower court.
I suggest you to find out the whole processs in your state. There is a cost(including your time) associated with each step. I think you are an investor and I belive your money can be put in a much profitable place.
