It depends on what type of law suit you want to bring against this sucker. If you decide to press a criminal charge, you need to report to the police or/and DA (district attorney). Of course, as a victim and primary witness, you may hire your own lawyer. Considering the complication of criminal trial, I would recommend an American attorny. Even if you would rather bring a civil suit, a native lawyer would still have some language advantage because your case will involve heavy litigation. If you have difficulty communicating yourself in English effectively and completely, you can always hire a Chinese translator. As I said above, the key to your success is the evidence. Where you can supply some strong evidence, it is out of question that you will win because Americans are far less tolerent of sexual assault.
