我的情況是這樣，兩個多月前，因為工作突然變動，我不得不從某地apartment搬出，apartment的政策是協議一年一年的簽，如果不滿一年要搬出，需要提前2個月通知。工作變動的事情，誰也不可能提前知道，我隻好搬出交了鑰匙。
隨後，留下了新的聯絡地址讓apartment把帳單寄來。過了一個月，帳單寄來了，並要求我在一個月內把所有費用交清，否則讓催債公司來收，並多33%的費用。讓我付兩個月的房費，另外還有一筆insuffient notice fee, 700多美元。我說沒聽說什麽insuffient notice fee。所以我寫了一張check把兩個月的房租付了，在memo上寫上final full claim。
沒想到apartment把我兩個月房租收下，又給了一封信，說錢沒付足。我就給aptartment發了個email問一下insufficient notice fee的事情，並讓他們把lease aggrement寄來。結果我發現裏麵的確有那麽一句模糊的說法：If you fail to provide proper notice and vacate, you will be responsible for an additional month's rent and other sums due.
我這人怕麻煩，心想我認了，那麽忙懶得爭執。當時就給apartment manager發了email,說我出門在外，下星期就把insufficient notice fee匯過去。實際上上個星期一就把check寄過去了。然而跟蹤銀行帳號的結果，他們一直沒有兌現。所以晚飯時還給apartment manager發了一個email,問check 收到沒有？但是發了email後在整理今天郵件時發現今天收到了一封collection agency的信，
