stp, Q about greencard

Hi! stp,

I read a post that you replied about applying greencard for the parents. You said a person who has greencard can apply GC for the parents. Is it right? My qustion is if the GC holder starts the process right now and if the parents are already in US, then can the parents stay in US for long time, and maybe apply for advanced parole?
