you can take the road test in the 5th year, and if
you past, you'll get G2 and it will be valid for
another 5 years. Note that you don't need to get
to G in such a case at the end of the 5th year.
Also, if you get G2 in the 2nd -- 4th year, you can
either do a G-test to get to G, or re-do another
G2 test and renew the G2 for another 5 years in 5th
year.
