I didn't take education credit. I just take "Tuiton and fee deduction" at line 27 which doesn't require full time student. You can read the instruction for line 27 of form 1040.
By the way, I prepare to ask stp another question is that whether my RA choose influence my state tax. Because our state tax allows student to take the treaty benefit. I am not sure whether I can still claim that or not in my state tax return. Do you know or you may also interested in this question.
