All right, no fault insurace is required to get your car on the road. It has a minimum liability coverage, policy limit, covering the damage including medicial bill and some wage loss the policy holder caused to the other party to the accident. If your total damage is over the other party's limit, his insurer will refuse to pay the part above the limit and you will have to litigate the issue. If your fault is undisputable, of course, his insurer will refuse to pay your damage. But it is not. You just let your own insurer to deal with it. Considering the limited info you gave out, even if both parties were deemed liable, you will be compensated by his insurer and his damage will be paid by yours.
