在校大學生收到家所在地的jury service summons. 如何請求免除？

孩子在外州上大學。今天我家所在州給孩子寄來了 jury service summons. 我模模糊糊記得在外地上學的學生可以免jury service。 但通知上沒有這一選項。

讓孩子學期中間回來不現實。請問如何申請免除這次的jury service？ 給回信地址寫封信，附上學生注冊證明？
