You sounds like a smart person, my advice to you is to learn what law is and use it to your advantage, instead of reinvent the wheel and make every argument from scratch.  

In your example, it is classical "tenancy at will" instead of a fixed term tenancy. Your cleverly written argument is a waste of time because it does not fit the settled law.  

The society is not organized on clever arguments, but on settled law.  Settled law ensures people knows what to do, and how to do certain things.
