i don't know the law in FLORIDA, but in maryland,if two cars approach the stop sign same time the car in the right-side has the right of the road. in your case if u went from west to east and another car went from south to north and got in the cross road, he has the right of the road. but this is only the law in maryland and only apply when both cars approach the cross same times. your ticket says FAIL TO YEILD AT STOP SIGN may mean the vilation of that law.
