It depends on the child's immigration status. If s/he is an american citizen, it is OK to send him/her back. If s/he is asylee derivative, s/he may lose status.

In addition, you may need to explain why you send your child back to your own country at your green card interview. Given your asylee status, the assumption is that you and your family will be treated unfairly if you return back to your country. Thus sending your child back to your country may cast some doubts on your asyless status.
