I don't think that they will deny your parents entry just because your graduation ceremony is over. First, how could the officer at the port of entry know your graduation ceremony was over. Second, they possess valid visa. Third, attending the ceremony cannot be their only purpose. If the officer does not ask the date of ceremony, just keep quiet. If he/she does ask, just give a reasonable explanation. They missed the ceremony because they got delayed in visa processing or it was difficult to book flight tickets, or someone was sick. Even if it was over, they still decided to pay a visit because they missed you, wanted to travel across the country....blah,blah....anyting ancillary to the B1/B2 purpose.
