your parents should be qualified for medicaid. medicare is for sb has worked and paid tax qualified those 40 points.
in terms of medicaid in IL you need to wait 5 years after you get your green card. the same as in TX?
But, in NY and Philly I think you dont, cause I see people with asylum have it and they can transfer to IL medicaid, meaning they don't pay when they see family physicians.
your parents should be able to choose the one no need to pay out of pocket methods and u pay the bronze plan when you had to be stayed in hospital. another one is pay $50 every month and if stay in hospital you only pay about $500 total.
