Hi,
By some unknown causes, my computer is installed with AOL pop-up ad, which will pop up ad asking to try AOL's free trial internet connection.
I have checked my control panel and remove all unknown software, and the ad is still there so long as my computer is connected to the internet.
Then I remove my account, delete all the files, and created a fresh new account, the ad is still there.
Obviously, AOL is taking advantage of Microsoft's security hole and install unwanted software into user's account.
I have also downloaded many different pop-up blocker software, trying to kill it, yet there is no solution to the AOL's annoying popup.
It seems the only solution now is to reinstall the entire system. It happens that my computer has two operating systems (Linux and MS), and it is a real pain in doing so, since I will have to reinstall linux as well (when I install Windows, it will wipe out the linux boot segment).
I need some advice on filing a class action sue against AOL. AOL has clearly violated my privacy as well as taken advantage of window's security hole.
AOL's behavior must be stopped!
Any suggestion please send to *****ss1966@yahoo.com.
Many thanks.
