If you don't have a lawyer, the trial doesn't cost you anything. You just show up and argue for yourself. Asking your husband to pay for your lawyer is a long shot. But since you asked for solutions, here is one way to do it.
Re: your child's lawyer
You can ask any time to have a lawyer appointed for your child at your husband's expense. Just bring it up in the next court hearing, saying you don't feel your lack of money can adequately protect your child's interest. You have to ASK for it , as early as possible so that the lawyer can have time prepare.
You have to ask for it, it is your initiative.
