Check your employment agreement carefully. In most cases, the employment agreement specifies that all inventions made in association with your employment will be assigned to the company. In other words, you will be the inventor on the application, but the company is the actual owner of the patent.

If you have made contribution to the patent application withing the meaning of the statute with respect to inventorship, you will be the inventor, regardless whether you still work for the company.
