我在美國有綠卡，女友是學生身份明年2月左右到期，該如何留下她

我要拿到公民也是明年年中甚至年底的事，隻是憑綠卡，跟她辦結婚後可以留下她嗎？如果可以，時間上是什麽概念，我該具體怎麽辦？謝謝各位好心人啊！
