What I usually do would be, pick the book with fewest pages, and read it in full. YOu won't understand most of it, can't remember much. But then read the second book with second fewest pages, then the third, fourth... until you feel ready to see a lawyer and have a meaningful discussion for $200/hr of his time.
This apporach works for will and trust, divorce, gardening, home imporovement, baseball or any new things you want to learn. But don't try to use the do-it-yourself legal forms in those books. You still need a lawyer to advise you for your unique situation. Books are just for saving your legal fees because you don't need lawyer start from scratch and teach you everything.
Go to the library and search "will and trust"
