你需要先看goods的定義是什麽 “goods” means all chattels personal, other than things in action and money, and includes emblements, industrial growing crops, and things attached to or forming part of the land that are agreed to be severed before sale or under the contract of sale; (“objets”)

這是黑字白紙的定義，＂PRODUCT＂不是法律用詞，所以不要想當然套用。

就曆史而言，古代英美加都是用普通法，就是案例法，沒有明文規定，就是靠案例定義的原則。後來商品買賣是一個比較特殊的合同範圍，國家定了明文的法。但是由於服務合同（包括安裝家具，或者幫你理財，或者幫你蓋房子）之間相差太大，不象商品買賣一樣單一，所以起碼美國還是在用普通法案例來管理，沒有明文的規定。restatement of law是法律出版界對普通法案例的歸納，一般律師參照一下，但那不是明文規定。
