No, sellers has no responsibility to disclose any problems. That's why there is home inspection. You can not just make things up that is not in the contract and sue people on that.
Look at the purchase contract. Usually it says "the Seller makes no representation of ..." That means the seller is not saying anything, neither Yes or No to existence of any problems.
