Leaving the Scene of Accident

I accidently hitted somebody's car on the parking lot and was scared to death so I just left the scene immediately. I felt terriblly sorry for what I have done and have been suffered for two days and thought I should have left a note to the driver. What should I do know? Call the police? or a traffic lawyer? What kind of punishment will I get? Please help!!!
