收到討債公司威脅信，該如何處置？

我突然收到一封討債公司的威脅信。內容如下：

                  Claim Number: 034360834128134

We have been retained by the above client to aid them in the investigation of the accident or tort liability claim, on the above date, as governed by the applicable laws of the state where the accident occured.

If you were covered by liability insurance on the date of the accident and or loss, kindly provide us with the name of the insurance company and your policy number, or the name of your agent or broker, in the spaces below. if this information was previously provided to someone else, kindly reconfirm it below.

但是我沒有在 05/16/12 前後發生任何車禍/事故，或任何與此相關的事啊！在這之前從來沒有人就此跟我聯係過， GEICO 也沒有跟我聯係過。並且這封信也沒有任何人簽名。


請問：這是不是訛詐？可以不理他嗎？應該怎樣對付？這種小事要請律師嗎？
